Fall plant sale

Each fall botany club holds a 2 or 3 day plant sale in the Biology building lobby. The proceeds from this sale are used primarily for the spring break trip.

End of semester party

Botany club has a great time hanging out and cooking together at the end of each semester. At our Christmas party, we usually make tamales, and we make spring rolls at the end of spring semester.

Spring break trip

Over spring break, botany club uses the proceeds from our plant sale to travel and purchase new plants for the teaching collection. Read more about past and planned trips here.

Botany club has started a garden between the greenhouse and the biology building. We grow lots of herbs and vegetables. Local llama farmer Eric Souders has graciously donated llama manure and researcher and horse owner Amy Whipple provides horse manure. Dr. Pollak's Applied Botany class helps purchase seeds, plan the layout, and get things in the ground.
